Matt Loveridge jigged the memories of the GIAAC faithful with a fine performance on the prologue leg of the 2013 edition OSA Recruitment All Terrain series.
As one of the island’s top 800 and 1500m runners of the recent past, Loveridge is making his way back into the sport and showed a good combination of speed and endurance in posting the fastest time of the 2.75 kilometre opening stage at Havelet.
His time of 7min. 56sec. was nine seconds faster than his nearest challengers, Will Bodkin and David Emery.
Other significant performances included the 8.13 of Tristan Robilliard and triathlete Ben Creasey, who will both feature strongly in Sunday’s second stage, the five-mile Icart cliff path race which starts at 6.30pm.
