IT was a great evening for the Mason family as the All Terrain Challenge came to a close in Herm.
Young George became the fourth individual stage winner of the week on the final evening, but his impressive win could not prevent Matt Loveridge claiming the overall
title by a comfortable margin.
And while young George was taking the stage win by 14sec. from Loveridge, his father Matt, put the finishing touches to winning the Division Four competition, although the improving Ricky Gallienne headed him on the evening by almost half a minute.
David Emery had come into the final stage hoping for a clear win to boost his prospects of the title.
But Emery could do no better than fifth on the evening.
In Division Two, basketballer Aaron Walden was beaten to the post by Toby
Grice, but the important thing for him was to stay in front of rival David
Ainger and as it happened he achieved that comfortably to take the
divisional crown from Grice, while Ainger slipped back to fourth overall.
The Division Three title went to Ben Le Huray who ensured he stayed ahead
with a very comfortable stage win from Paul Frank.
Nikki Neal took the women’s title by a wide margin.
