Dan Woodgate(Luton/St. Mary’s)) led from the start and finished 5 minutes clear in 69 minutes 11 seconds to repeat his victory of 2013. Regular visitor Rick Weston(Serpentine) claimed his best finish of the weekend with 2nd(74:37) and Gwynant Jones(Cardiff/St. Mary’s) also got his best finish of the weekend with third(75:19).
Helen Dyke (Poole Runners) got her first individual women’s win of the weekend and stopped the clock at 84:24. Katherine Philp was a strong second but there were big personal bests from improving Guernsey runners Mel Nicolle(3rd, 90:08) and Chantal Green(4th, 92:11).
Sole wheelchair competitor Sarah Whitchurch(Guernsey) tok over 45 minutes from her previous best to finish in 3 hrs 42 min 32 sec.
