Easter Relay Records – Millennium Stone Course 2001-2008

This course was adopted in 2001 and has taken a few years of subtle adjustments to turn it into what is now the established course.  In 2001 when the course was run for the first time it was significantly longer than the present course and took runners much closer to the Golf Club House.  The estimate is that it was between 15 and 20 seconds longer for the fastest athletes,  thus Alan Rowe’s 9:57 time from that year would result in a higher ranking.

A further change in the initial climb onto the highest point of the course in 2003 extended the course by between 3 and 5 seconds.

In 2009 the relay moved across L’Ancresse to the ‘Stonecrusher’ course.
